Luke Heeney - Researcher

Luke has recently graduated from the Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours) at the University of Queensland, where he is also completing a Bachelor of Science. Luke has previously worked at Grattan Institute in both their Energy and Health Programs, where he has modelled wind farm developments and published on aged care reform. He has also worked as an intern economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia and as an undergraduate analyst at Queensland Investment Corporation. During university Luke has studied internationally at Fudan University, Shanghai, and through his honours research developed a new method to optimise and compare the value of developments in Renewable Energy Zones. Luke is passionate about fostering student leadership and improving cultures in student residences, and serves on the Advisory Board of the National Association of Australian University Colleges, where he also writes and presents on student leadership topics.
