Transitioning Australian Agriculture

To launch Blueprint Institute's latest report, Cultivating Resilience, Blueprint Institute and the Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology Sydney will host a discussion panel to strategize transition pathways to decarbonising Australia’s agricultural sector towards more nature positive and sustainable practices.

This unmissable event will provide an opportunity to connect with decision-makers and stakeholders who also recognise the critical role agriculture plays in feeding the region and how environmental challenges are driving a need to adapt the way we farm and deliver healthy diets. Panellists representing both ends of the food and agriculture value chain, as well as scientists and other stakeholders, will explore exciting new opportunities for sustainable agricultural production and contextualise how the sector's unique challenges tie into food security, public health, energy security, and economic resilience.

What could a green agricultural and food system look like? What do stakeholders operating in different parts of the sector need for the transition? How can we work towards decarbonising agriculture while ensuring farmers' livelihoods? And what big changes might we have to make? These are just some of the questions our esteemed panellists will seek answers to during this informative and thought-provoking event.
