Zach holds a Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours Class I) majoring in economics from the University of Queensland (UQ). His thesis investigated the causal impact of antenatal alcohol consumption on child health outcomes, while correcting for misreporting. He is interested in applied economics research and has experience working in criminology, gerontology, and economics. As part of his work as a research assistant at the Centre for the Business and Economics of Health he created the Queensland Home Care Providers Dataset. Zach has also led teams of student consultants working with community groups and not-for-profits and co-managed the UQ Student Managed Investment Fund.
